Centralized computer
management practices protect PCs
Today, networked PCs and
laptops can be hardware and software inventoried. Licensed programs can
be tracked for actual use. Applications can be centrally installed,
uninstalled and repaired. Directory-enabled policies can limit user
control over the PC or laptop. Network administrators can reach out and
remotely control PCs and laptops on their network. Even for a relatively
small number of PCs, this type of centralized management may be more
economical than putting on sneakers and running around the office to
service each machine.
PC Imaging restores PCs and servers
The typical remedy for a badly messed up PC is to re-install the
operating system and applications. Easy to say.... hard to do. Not only
do you need to locate all of the software media and installation codes,
you need to make sure all of the drivers and security patches are
brought up to date, too. This is tedious and time-consuming.
